Studio Self Recording

Producing your own digital audio is easier than ever before. Often, the hardest part is finding a quiet place to record. Instructors in the College of L&S can book our sound-proof studio to produce instructional recordings on their own. After a short orientation session to the process, you'll be ready to create your own high-quality digital audio.

Skype Recording in the Studio

Portable Digital Audio Recording

Instructors in the College of Letters & Science can check out portable digital audio recorders or a USB microphone for short-term use from the L&S AV Pool (608-262-1678).

The Van Hise InfoLab has a small collection of digital audio recording devices available for student check-out.

All graduate students, faculty, and staff on campus can borrow similar equipment from the Digital Media Center.

We suggest setting up a short orientation session to go over setting up the equipment, basic recording, and working with audio files.

The H2's are easy to use, and ideal for recording interviews or small groups.
