Producing your own digital audio is easier than ever before. Often, the hardest part is finding a quiet place to record. Instructors in the College of L&S can book our sound-proof studio to produce instructional recordings on their own. After a short orientation session to the process, you'll be ready to create your own high-quality digital audio.
Would you like to record a telephone interview? Instructors are using our skype recording service to produce free to low-cost audio interviews with people all over the world.

Instructors in the College of Letters & Science can check out portable digital audio recorders or a USB microphone for short-term use from the L&S AV Pool (608-262-1678).
The Van Hise InfoLab has a small collection of digital audio recording devices available for student check-out.
All graduate students, faculty, and staff on campus can borrow similar equipment from the Digital Media Center.
We suggest setting up a short orientation session to go over setting up the equipment, basic recording, and working with audio files.
The L&S AV Pool has a limited number of H2 Handy Recorders available for checkout to instructors in the College of Letters & Science.
The H2's are easy to use, and ideal for recording interviews or small groups.
The Snowball USB microphone allows for simple audio recording with any USB-capable computer. After a quick orientation to an audio recording program like Audacity, you'll be ready to record your own instructional materials, create podcasts with your students, or make Skype calls in your classes.
