Special Projects Lab

This lab is for L&S faculty and staff who need special equipment (laser printer, scanner, etc.) for preparing instructional materials. Generally the SPL is open weekdays, 9:00 - 12:00 noon and 1:00 - 4:00 pm. However, it's usually best to call ahead and make an appointment.

To Use the Special Projects Lab

Time at the computers is available on a drop-in basis during the above hours, provided such use does not conflict with people who make appointments. Drop-in use is self-service; LSS Micro Staff might NOT be available.
Those who make appointments ahead of time can arrange to have LSS Micro Staff help them.
To make an appointment, call any IT Group member.

Special Projects Lab Policies

No food or drink in the lab.
Please be ready to leave (files saved, disks packed, and so forth) by closing time ( 4:00 pm).
Please bring your own paper and floppy disks.
Save your work and take it with you. Files left on an SPL computer may be erased at any time.
For work (editing, etc.) which can be done without this equipment, please use the LSS InfoLab at 464 Van Hise Hall.
