How to use a Kodak Zi6: Start to Finish

Recording

1. Tap the red navigation stick to the side and select VGA. (1 hr video = 650 Mb)
2. Press the red navigation stick to start recording.
3. Press the red navigation stick again to stop.

Downloading

1. Turn camera on.
2. Connect it to computer via USB.
3. Go to My Computer--> Kodak Zi6 (On a Mac, click on Kodak Zi6 on the desktop)
4. Open DCIM folder.
5. Drag files onto desktop.

• 259 Language Lab (259- Mac on the end)
• Infolab (PC or Mac)
• Your office computer or laptop
• AV Pool laptop

Where will you save your video?

• USB drive
• CD or DVD
• Your laptop
• Course website

What programs can you use to edit your video?

• Imovie (Macintosh)
• Mpeg streamclip (for simple edits)
• Arcsoft (included on Kodak Zi6)
• Windows Moviemaker (*must convert files to .avi first)
