LessonShare featured at the Teaching and Learning Symposium

May 29, 2007 by Doug Worsham

L&S LessonShare, a new online tool currently being developed by L&S LSS, helps communities of instructors share, organize, and collaboratively improve their lessons, handouts, and other teaching materials. LessonShare preserves the wealth of experience gained by previous teachers while facilitating innovative materials development. It also encourages instructors to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles and teaching scenarios.

LessonShare will be featured at the 2007 Teaching and Learning Symposium, Madison's annual showcase of innovative strategies to improve the campus teaching and learning environment. In their presentation, Alice Astarita and Katy Prantil (French & Italian), Mike Olson (German), and Sue Weier and Doug Worsham (L&S LSS), show how LessonShare addresses several key challenges in multi-section TA taught classes, outline LessonShare's rapid development and implementation, and discuss future directions for socially networked lesson planning.
