Students using Internet Explorer 8 to work on their online moodle courses have reported a problem when completing online assignments. The problem occurs when saving the online assignment; only the first sentence of the submitted text is saved. It doesn't matter if the text is cut and pasted, or typed in place.
Attached is a basic guide to Moodle for instructors. This provides an introductory look at how a course page is laid out and managed. It also includes links to further training materials.

Internet Explorer 8 is a new version of the familiar browser. Most of you probably have had Internet Explorer 8 installed as part of your monthly Windows Update patches.
We've received some reports of students and faculty having problems downloading files with Internet Explorer 8. This seems to occur most often with applications that require the user to log into the site with a username and password. It has been reported in the L&S LessonShare application, as well as other sites that run with a URL starting with https instead of http.
