LSS has the equipment and software to convert analog video to digital video formats. We have several self-service workstations or we can work with users to coordinate a larger digitization project.
To convert a piece of video from analog (tape) to digital requires the same copyright releases as one would have for normal duplication of that same tape. Costs of digital mediums, such as CD's or DVD's vary, and users will need to pay for these materials. In addition, the video digitization workstations are in heavy use, so coordination with VRC staff on this equipment will ease scheduling problems.
LSS also has streaming servers for materials which need to be streamed for instructional purposes over the web. Again, those wishing to create material for online dispersal should contact the staff at LSS for more information.
